Welcome to Books4Change

 Books4Change is a home-based, family-run business operating from the Strand, Western Cape.

At Books4Change we have developed a love affair with all words starting with re, including revive, read and reward, which pretty much sums up what we’re all about.

First, we revive books of various shapes, sizes, genres, languages, origins and conditions, showing them off in a new light for lovers of books to discover and explore.

When you have made your pick, it’s time to read or reread your childhood favourites, new recommendations, old time classics or those titles you have always wanted to read but never managed to get around to.

The reward part is two-fold: Not only will you be rewarded with the gift of new insights and perspectives gained through reading, but you will also have contributed to our charity partners for literacy, education, human and animal welfare and sustainable living.

Reusing books, rather than buying new ones, also contributes to forest renewal and respect for nature and literature.

Apart from buying books at Books4Change, you can also request a title that you don’t see on our (virtual) shelves, write reviews on those you loved (via Goodreads.com), refer your friends to this site and return the favour by donating some of your own books to one of our charity partners.
